OUR Mission Statement
Darbenack Stables is a semi retirement home for older horses.They are ridden on a very light riding schedule for those horses that are able. This (I believe) helps them keep exercised and feel useful.No one really likes to retire completely!!
The wisdom and knowledge that the older horses have is a great stepping stone for children to learn to ride. Many horses have been donated or sold at a low price for their beloved family horses to live out their days.
With expert care and lots of love, these amazing horses have thrived wonderfully. The only requirement that a horse must have to come here is that it is friendly and ready for love.
